Do I Have to Leave...Ever?

Even though every activity/church meeting(s) that I've been to here so far has been awesome,I was very much excited and interested to see exactly what FHE was like for the Shenandoah Ward...IT.WAS.AMAZING! Haha=] SO much better than the other singles ward's that I've attended=P Activity wise that is... But the people here are seriously, all pretty chill folks,as well=] Like,I could see myself being friends with almost every single one of them!Lol. First for the night,I got to meet another one of the new girls in the ward,Tara. She only got out here a couple of days ago, and was kind enough to give me a ride=] So far, I'd have to say that Kim,Shelby(I haven't really mentioned her 'cause we briefly met on Sunday),and Tara all seem like people I'd actually get along and have a blast hanging out with! But yeah,so the lesson for FHE turned out to be a get-to-know-you game, which I think we have ALL played...you pick a starburst out of the bag,or in this case 3(yeah,we eventually cut it down to everyone doing only 1 'cause it took so dang long=P),and then tell whatever fact(s) about you that relate to your color(s). You want to know what the different things were that we had to say? RED-most embarrassing moment YELLOW-favorite memory PINK-best date and why? ORANGE-worst date and why? It had been cut down to sharing one by the time it got to me,so I decided to share my favorite memory, instead of my best or worst date. I mean I only have been on two anyways and although one was good and one was totally, completely horrible, I thought one of my more favorite memories would be better to share...=] So I shared a little bit about how I got to go to Mexico last year and hike to the freaking gorgeous waterfall,Las Cascadas. Which was kind of funny that I mentioned it,because when we were moving into the cultural hall for the activity,Ana(who I forgot is from Mexico) came up to talk to me a little more about it. Too bad I didn't remember the name of it until today!Lol. Oh well...=P Let me tell you though;even though we ended up playing one of those games that can be kind of awkward if you're not an extremely friendly group(it's called Chicken in a Hen House, btw),it was SO much fun! The first round was suffiently awkward for most everyone, except the engaged couple, lol.I think mostly it was awkward for some especially, because they told you to pair up with a member of the oppposite sex(which isn't the worst part...) who was about your same height. You'd think that'd be fine, right? Not right! I paired up with this dude, but when they started showing us some of the moves we were going to have to do together,I was not so sure he would be able to lift me and crap=/ Luckily everything seemed to go pretty fine with that partner...as in I didn't crush him or anything...lol. We actually had a ton of fun! The engaged couple won that round,as Brian(and basically everyone else) predicted.Haha. And since I can't let anyone(*cough*cough*Nicole*cough*) down;I will tell you a teensy, weensy bit about the second round I played. Now,I hadn't planned on playing a second round. I had figured I'd watch this round like half the people there did for the first round, that I had already played...but no. Brian was one of those people that had sat out the first round(I think because he didn't get a partner or something),so I told him that he should participate and play. But, once I got him to go out there, apparently he couldn't and/or didn't find a partner again. Well, not wanting him to look ridiculous again, and since I'm the one who told him to try it,I volunteered to be his partner! I wasn't too worried about this one, mainly because Brian is a pretty dang buff looking dude...I was almost positive he would have no trouble with any of the moves(or "positions",as he called them at one point...LOL! Nobody could resist a "That's what she said" after that remark=]). I was SO right though. And I now know what it's like to feel lighter than air! Like, holy freak! If you don't have the delightfulness of knowing what I'm referring to,that is a sad day for you=( Lol. For reals though...Funny enough though,I think we ended up in the final 3,but were slightly too slow on "Lovers Leap",which is basically the guy picks the girl up in his arms(sorta how I would catch Nicole). The other moves we had to do for the game, with descriptions,is as following: "Chicken in a Hen House"-Guy on all fours;girl kneels on top and puts her hands together(like when doing the A of the YMCA) / "Dog House"- Guy lies flat on floor;girl makes an arch perpendicularly over him,on her hands and feet / "Lovers Leap"- see description above / "Piggyback"- Guy gives girl a piggyback ride;girl does a lasso motion while on guy's back / "Bunk Beds"- Guy lies on his back on the floor and holds girl up;girl is on top, flipped the opposite direction though, and they hold each other's legs...sounds interesting,eh? Fortunately, neither of my partners and I had to do that funky bunk beds one, lol. I think the engaged couple were the only ones who did that move quickly, and really followed through with actually completing the move. Most everyone else usually gave up,knowing they'd be beat.Hahaha! Well, besides picking up more job apps and finding out what store to apply online for today, nothing else really new or worth telling from over here...except that I really am not wanting to ever leave even more now,and increasingly almost every day=P Lol. But then again, you may have guessed something along those lines after reading the title of the post before, huh? Hope things are wonderful for others=D I'll write again sometime soon, but for now... À bientôt,mes amies!
